Since last week my Piwik dashboard showed me a Google pagerank of 0 which I couldn’t believe. At first I thought the API was down but the problem remained for several days.

The security incident at DigiNotar has created a big hole in online security. DigiNotar’s CA has been hacked and cannot be trusted anymore. The list of know fraudulent certificates contains some high level domains e.g. google.com, mozilla.com, yahoo.com, torproject.org, and many more.

Some browsers and OS already have been hardened with a patch or an updated CRL but how about Mac OS X users?

My IP address

Your IP address can be in IP v4 or v6 format depending on your provider and router/OS capabilities. Currently most IP addresses are still v4 but many providers are switching to v6.

IP v4 addresses look like 1.2.3.4 where each number can range from 0 to 255. IP v6 addresses look like fe80::202:b3ff:fe1e:8329.

With yesterday’s update of Yammer for iPhone to version 3.0 it resumed working. In my previous review article about the new iOS 4 Yammer was one of the few apps not compatible with iOS 4. The app started correctly and showed the account list but didn’t let you go further. Selecting an account either crashed the application or just didn’t do anything.
