Seagate has announced a new breed of mobile disks: GoFlex Satellite. You can use it as a regular mobile USB disk on your Mac or PC with its built-in interface USB 3.0 interface or connect it via FireWire 800 or eSATA with the GoFlex system adapters.
The big news here is the built-in WiFi 802.11 b/g/n hotspot for direct wireless access! Yes, you can access your files and even stream media directly to your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad with no strings attached. According to Seagate the built-in battery allows for up to 5h of mobile connectivity.

National Geographic Adventure blogger Mary Anne Potts writes that iPad 2 is transforming travel with its smaller size, faster performance, robust battery life, front and back cameras, and a slew of innovative travel apps. After editing her own travel video with the new iMovie app (“optimized for iPad and so easy to use”), Potts predicts, “this app will transform you into a virtual filmmaker.”

Every customer who buys an iPad 2 at an Apple retail store will be offered free Personal Setup service, helping them customize their iPad 2 by setting up email, loading new apps from the App Store℠ and more, so they’ll be up and running with their new iPad 2 before they leave the store. iPad 2 will also be available beginning at 5 p.m. local time at AT&T, Best Buy, Target, Verizon Wireless, Walmart and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
