Hi, I’m jERRy and this blog is my contribution to the online community for all those tech junkies out there. I planned to document my path away from Windows to OS X. As a MCP with a firm background on many different Microsoft products and technologies I recently took a big step forward and plunged into the Apple universe. On some points I’d compare it to the never ending battle between Linux and Windows but on a much more sophisticated level. On a Mac you can finally do what you’ve always wanted to do – just without the hassle of how and why. When using Apple products it seems as if somebody really put some serious thoughts into the design. One could say that there’s plenty of great software for Linux and Windows. That’s true for sure, but you’ll have to find it in the first place and there’s a lot more crappy stuff you’ll have to download and install before getting to a good one, too. Don’t get me wrong, I still appreciate the freedom of Linux and the variety on Windows but when on OS X I never miss any of those.  As for my blog there are still some items on my list:

• looking for the right theme
• build up the rest of the site
