With yesterday’s update of Yammer for iPhone to version 3.0 it resumed working. In my previous review article about the new iOS 4 Yammer was one of the few apps not compatible with iOS 4. The app started correctly and showed the account list but didn’t let you go further. Selecting an account either crashed the application or just didn’t do anything.
This is the list of changes and improvements as stated in the iTunes App Store:
- complete rewrite (of code I suppose)
- fixes many crashes (I only got one persistent crash and exit per session
) - much faster! (nice for iPhone 3G users)
- works on iphone 4 (will try next week)
- autocomplete for @ and # tags
- search and alphabetical index in directory
- mail and call contacts inside app
- stats for contacts
- works in landscape everywhere (but not on water or in the air, lol)
- all contacts available offline
- visual improvements
- clickable @ and # tags in messages
Now with Yammer 3.0 everything is fine again. Great job getting the updated version through Apple’s approval right on time for the launch of iOS 4!
